HubSpot's [Service Hub pricing page](https://www.hubspot.com/pricing/service) lists free tools at US$0 for up to 2 users. Starter has a list price of US$20 per seat per month; the page currently shows a new-customer promotion from US$7 per seat next to it. Starter removes HubSpot branding from the chat widget and includes 500 HubSpot credits a month, but it does not unlock branching or the Customer Agent. Service Hub Professional is US$100 per seat per month, or US$90 when paid upfront for the year, plus a required one-time onboarding fee of US$1,500; the page labels both options as annual commitments. It includes 3,000 credits a month, which works out to 60 Customer Agent resolutions. Service Hub Enterprise starts at US$150 per seat per month with a US$3,500 onboarding fee and 5,000 credits. Extra credits cost US$10 per 1,000 on the [credits page](https://www.hubspot.com/products/artificial-intelligence/credits), while the pricing page quotes US$9 per 1,000 when paid annually. HubSpot's German site shows the same numerals in euros, for example €100 per seat, with onboarding at €1,470.

## What you are billed for

HubSpot has two bots and only one of them is metered. The rule-based chatflows bot is not billed per conversation; no conversation cap for it appears in HubSpot's pricing pages or help centre. The Breeze Customer Agent is billed per resolved conversation, at 50 HubSpot credits, which is US$0.50. HubSpot's help centre defines a resolved conversation as one where the agent sent at least one reply that shared a content source or performed an action, and no qualifying handoff to a human happened within 72 hours of the visitor's last message. The status is judged 72 hours after that last message. A qualifying handoff is one the visitor starts, by asking for a person or by triggering a handoff phrase or guideline you configured. So a visitor who reads a sourced answer and leaves without a word is billed as resolved. The documentation names a second billable outcome: a lead the agent marks as qualified, partially qualified or not qualified. Credits depend on resolutions, not on how many messages were exchanged. Included credits refresh each month and unused credits expire. When credits run out, the agent stops being assigned to new conversations unless you switch on pay-as-you-go overages, which HubSpot's product catalogue prices at US$0.01 per credit, invoiced in blocks of 10 credits. Our guide to [what counts as a conversation](https://chatbots.reviews/en-gb/guides/what-counts-as-a-conversation) compares this rule with other vendors. ## What the free plan really allows

The free plan does not expire and covers up to 2 users with no credit card. HubSpot's product catalogue limits free bots to three jobs: ticket creation, lead qualification and meeting booking, with no custom branching logic. The chat widget carries HubSpot branding, and the documented free channels are website chat and Facebook Messenger. Excluded from free: if/then branches, custom bots, advanced targeting, the workflow enrollment action, knowledge base lookup, code snippets, webhooks and the Customer Agent, so there are no AI replies on the free plan. The only trial-like offer is for the AI agent: the pricing page says buyers of at least one Service Professional or Enterprise seat can use the Customer Agent free for 14 days. Other free plans are compared on our [free chatbot builders list](https://chatbots.reviews/en-gb/best/free).

## What it costs at three volumes

The cheapest published HubSpot Chatbot Builder plan that covers three monthly volumes of resolutions, on monthly billing. It is arithmetic on the vendor's price list, not a quote.

| Product | 100 resolutions a month | 1,000 resolutions a month | 5,000 resolutions a month |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| HubSpot Chatbot Builder | US$50 | US$500 | US$2,500 |

_List prices on monthly billing, verified on the date shown on this page. Extra seats, add-ons, taxes and third-party channel fees (for example Meta's WhatsApp charges) are not included._

The worked examples show Breeze Customer Agent usage only, at US$0.50 per resolved conversation; they leave out the Professional seat the agent requires (US$100 per seat per month), the one-time US$1,500 onboarding fee and the 3,000 credits already included with Professional, and the rule-based bot itself is not metered.
